Christian Life Church of Westerville (CLCW) commissioned RKA to expand and improve CLCW’s crowded education spaces in their existing 7,696 sq. ft building. The 2,329 sq. ft addition expands CLCW’s education spaces with additional individual classrooms, and improvements to the library, multi-purpose room, kitchen, and administrative office areas. The renovations and addition improve security within the facility while providing flexibility to accommodate worship and education programming. The massing, scale, and materiality of the addition blends well with the existing building while meeting the requirements of Westerville’s Architectural Review Board. The resulting building form and landscaping successfully integrates the expanded building into the surrounding site and adjacent residential neighborhood. |
